Everyone and their mother loves Allbirds, the "world's most comfortable shoe," from their classic Wool Runners to their light and airy Tree Breezers. Now, the brand is releasing their first ever sock line that matches the breathability and ease of Allbirds sneakers.
SHOP ALLBIRDS SOCKS
Now you might think, aren't Allbirds meant to be worn without socks? The answer is yes — but the brand is answering a consumer demand after they learned that nearly half of their customers still choose to wear socks with Allbirds sneakers. The hope is that customers will find the same comfort in the socks that they find with Allbirds sneakers.
The new Allbirds socks line features Tubers, a classic crew cut ($16), Hiders, a no-show cut ($12), and Quarters, an in-between cut that stops at the ankle ($14). The socks come in six versatile colors, like waterfall (denim blue), flamingo (salmon pink), and onyx (dark gray). You won't find basics like black or white socks here.
We tried Allbirds socks, and let me tell you, they feel amazing. The socks are made of Trino, a hybrid of fibers made with raw tree material and Merino (hence the name). Thanks to the blend of Merino wool and lyocell (made from eucalyptus wood pulp), the socks are "a softer, cooler, and more breathable super-yarn."
In casual terms, I'd say Allbirds socks feel as soft as cotton but aren't as thick, so they fit well beneath Allbirds shoes. They have the compression of dri-fit socks but aren't as stiff. They let your feet breathe, just like the way the brand's sneakers do, so you don't have to worry too much if you have sweaty feet. We love 'em!
